Â鶹´«Ã½ Recognizes Juneteenth as a Paid Holiday

The Â鶹´«Ã½ (Â鶹´«Ã½) is adding Juneteenth to its list of paid holidays. Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council and Volunteer Resources Team will be partnering to offer employees volunteer and donation opportunities throughout the month of June in observance of Juneteenth.

The Juneteenth holiday commemorates June 19, 1865, the day that Union Soldiers arrived in Texas to announce the news of the Emancipation Proclamation marking the end of slavery in the United States. The Â鶹´«Ã½ announced to its employees that it would add Juneteenth to its list of paid holidays in May.
